Family photoshoots remind me of a box of chocolates. You never know what you’ll get. Each family is unique, just like those chocolates. On this day, three families came together from warm states to vacation in beautiful Durango. They knew it could be cold at 10,000 feet. But that didn’t stop them.
At first, the kids were less than thrilled. The chilly mountain air was not their favorite. But with some tickle fights and cozy blanket snuggles, they warmed up. And then, just like magic, the sun peeked out. Suddenly, everyone was all smiles.
Family dynamics are a rich source of stories. I captured the moments that mattered. The parents juggling ‘tweens and babies. The grandparents watching from a distance. The cousins laughing and playing. These are the real moments, the ones that tell a story.
Nothing about family is ever “picture perfect.” It’s the perfectly imperfect moments that create memories. They are real and raw. They reflect love, adventure, and connection. I strive to document these feelings in each photo.
We explored some top-secret locations, where the light was just right. The golden hour was a dream. It added magic to every shot. I aim to create timeless albums that families can treasure forever. Prints that capture laughter, joy, and togetherness.
This shoot was a blend of candid shots and classic poses. Each image is a little piece of their story. Whether it’s an intimate moment or a big group hug, every picture counts.
Family shoots like this one are full of life and love. They remind us of how important it is to be together. They show us the beauty in our differences. So, come as you are. Bring your quirks, your laughs, and your love. I’m here to capture it all, just like a box of chocolates – full of surprises.
