Engagement and Couple
"Be still my heart" has become my go-to phrase, because my heart literally leaps when I'm capturing an elopement or intimate wedding. What can I say, I just love LOVE!
You and your partner (and possibly fur baby) deserve a photographer who can collaborate with you to achieve your hearts desire on your wedding day. Listening to a couple is my super power, as well as planning, location suggestions, vendor recommendations, timeline and so much more. I'll follow you where you want to go as long as my two legs can get me there,-even on Via Ferrata's, summitting mountains (Class 3 and under, please), mountain hiking, or lake excursions.
I'm also down for National Park's, wildflower-strewn meadows, waterfalls, bed and breakfast's, backyards, and cityscapes (think Durango, Telluride, Aspen, Santa Fe or YOUR hometown!).
Whether your ideal wedding day is a heart pounding adventure or easy-peasy stroll, you and your partner can get as messy (think of becoming a kid again as you and your best friend jump across streams, have a first dance in a summer rain, wear your fancy hiking boots, OR you have a 5 star treatment with professional hair, makeup, venue and catering. As grateful as you are for the heart swelling love you have for your partner, at this point in your life, you know exactly what you want.
I've heard such beautiful officiant's words acknowledging how cherished this love is. The two of you bring a lifetime of experiences, extended family, goals, and dreams to your union. You and your partner are starting a new chapter and it can be just the two of you or a group of family and friends. You get to write the rules and it feels great! As your photographer, I'll collaborate with you on anything and everything you want me to. I can be your sounding board for attire, location, venue, and any special details of your ceremony. I'll capture the look in your partner's eyes, the laughter as the champagne pops, the gentle wiping of a tear of gratitude and the sharing of those quiet moments when it feels like the two of you are the only people in the world. You will come away from your wedding day with images that reflect your authentic and sustaining love.
Many couples share these images with a bespoke slideshow that is crafted from the images I captured at a party or reception after their wedding day if it was just the two of you. What a wonderful way to include the people you love in your day.
Second Marriage
Whether it's a milestone anniversary or a "just cuz", vow renewals are an incredible time to reaffirm your love and commitment to your partner. Vow renewals are a love that's been burnished and shined to a degree that the reflection in your partner's eyes is one of love, understanding, and commitment. Sharing your vow renewal with your children, extended family and friends is such a gift by showing them that despite the up's and down's, you stand firmly with your partner.
Alternatively, your vow renewal can be just the two of you or with just a couple of friends. My husband and I had our own vow renewal in Iceland in 2023. I had planned for months the location and attire and vibe I wanted for our images. Then, as life happens, we got some devasting news about a family member's health. Our vows were silent...we just looked in each other's eyes as an Icelandic storm calmed for just a moment as we stood in each other's gaze. I felt the rush of emotions, the strength of my partner, and his willingness to be there when I needed him most.
As we all know, commitment is more than just words...it's the being there in the thick of it.
As your photographer, I'll ride the calm sea's, or the waves, with you before the vows, during, and after to deliver the images that express your deep love and commitment to one another.
Vow Renewal
CStrong photography took pictures of my family which included a 3 year old and a 9 month old. The results are the most precious photos of those 2 boys! Carolyn was patient and creative and managed to get the boys engaged and participating. At one point, our 3 year old was holding her hand as we explored the Botanic gardens for our next backdrop! She had hot wheels, bubbles, books and the magic touch to win over the kids. I strongly recommend CStrong photography.

The most precious photos
Carolyn and team was amazing on our wedding celebration. She spent so much time with us going to different locations around the venue property and different poses to ensure we would love the end product. They really went above and beyond to rally my husband's large family into photos so everyone felt included and was photographed. (Which believe me, is no easy feat.) Both Carolyn and Jarryn were so sweet and made the process alot easier for myself and husband that don't ever get photos taken. My daughter had the best experience with Carolyn! She did their elopement photos at Cascade Falls in the midst of the snow! It was an adventure for the two. She was on time, professional, very nice and worked with them.
